Period lasting a long time since I started birth control

Hello, I recently started birth control for cramps with my period. I started my period last Wednesday,the 18th, and started the pill Wednesday night. I am still on my period, 10 days later. Is this normal?
I take the pills around the same time every night, and forgot to take one last night but woke up in the very early morning to take one.

Dont worry about it, your body is having to get used to the hormones that are in the pill.

Give it 6 months for your body to get used to the pill and your periods to settle down. If you are still bleeding after your next plaebo week, then go back to the doctor and talk to them Smile
