Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
If pregnancy is suspected (shorter and lighter periods, brown discharge), then you should get it confirmed with getting a blood beta HCG level test and examination done by a gynecologist. Urine pregnancy tests can show false negative results due to less concentration of pregnancy hormone (HCG) in it. Blood HCG levels are accurate than urine tests and can detect pregnancy accurately as early as 11 days post conception. Visit your gynecologist for a thorough examination and request for a blood beta HCG level test to confirm/rule out pregnancy. Alternatively, you can repeat the test after 10 days to see if it turns to be positive. Look out for any new symptoms development that could suggest early pregnancy.
Take care.
