period came the last day of white pills and lasted a day.

I've been on birth control for 5-6 years; my last period came on the last day of the white pills and only lasted a day.

I am in a committed relationship and we dont use back up birth control; any thoughts?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
You need not have to use any back up at all if you are a regular user of birth control pills.Do not worry about your cycle date or amount of bleeding.Just take the pills as directed and stay relaxed.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counseling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
