I had protected sex a week ago. Soon after we started, the condom broke but we realized straight away and changed it before anything happened. Two days later I got my period (around the time when I was supposed to get it). It was a regular period, 5-6 days long, I had cramps and heavy-ish bleeding with clots (sorry if that is TMI). I was confident that everything was fine, but today I suddenly felt dizzy/lightheaded and slightly nauseous. I started freaking out, could barely eat and now I even feel like my breasts hurt (they didn't until this morning). I know I'm probably making it all up in my head and it was probably something else (I had actually been exercising a bit earlier) but I guess I'm just looking for reassurance. What are the chances of me being pregnant?

Sex in the week before your period is expected is quite unlikely to result in pregnancy, especially if a normal period arrives on time. Ovulation is two weeks before the period and the egg is good for only one day. You could run a home pregnancy test to be sure.

Your pregnancy signs are probably due to hormones upset for some other reason, possibly an ovarian cyst or glandular upset for which a doctor consult will be necessary. If you can live with the signs for a few weeks your next period might clear things up.
