Parkinson Disease and supplements ?

User Profile
My Dad is suffering from Parkinson's diseases since 2008. He has severe movement disability, mild tremor and imbalance issues. Also, he suffers from Glaucoma abe enlarged prostate. How can we slow the progression of diseases. Can any Supplements help?

He takes Syndopa ( levodopa + carbidopa), Ropinirole.
He is vegetarian. 63 yr old.

Now, his doctor has not recommended any special multivitamin and told him to take healthy diet. Now, my question is that can he take the following supplements on his own:-

Vitamin C
Vitamin D3 1000iu
Vitamin E
Omega 369 fish oil 1200mg mg capsules
Coenzyme Q10 30ng
Magnesium complex 375mg
Vitamin B12 400ug
Lutein 20mg

If he takes all these daily than can this harm her Parkinson's in any way?

Thanks!

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. The enzyme supplements you mentioned are fine and can be used and would mean no harm to his current illness.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
