Panic Attack or Heart Problem?

Hi there,

I have a question for those who may be in the know about these types of things.

To begin, here's a quick profile of me:

Age: 27
Sex: Male
Race: Caucasian
Family History of Heart Problems: Limited to those who were smokers
Non-smoker

This is the episode:

I wake up usually shortly after falling asleep with a rapid heart beat, tightness in the chest, an overwhelming fear that I'm dying, and tingling in the hands.

This happened on these dates. (March 27, April 18, July 5, July 18, July 20, August 30, September 1, September 19)

The doctor visits have shown:

Bloodwork: Everything within normal range except a slightly high albumin. (5.Cool
EKG: sinus tachycardia (120) during a state of anxiety and a slight right axis deviation
CT Scan: Calcium Score 0
Echocardiogram: Normal results
Stress test: 12 minutes with no abnormal symptoms
BP: (slightly high) 2 readings were 126/84 and 130/86
Resting heart rate: (self checked while not anxious) ~80 bpm

I'm currently wearing a 30 day recorder from Ecardio.

A lot of the time, I feel fine. However, I do get tired feeling sometimes, but I think perhaps that's related to the fact that I don't sleep as well because of the fear of these attacks.

Now, I'll get the results of the 30 day monitor in a couple of weeks. What do you think? As a whole, my heart tests are coming back in a positive manner, but I feel like something still wrong.

So, panic attacks or a heart issue? Just curious as to the thoughts of the community. Also perhaps important to note: I'm an expectant father who has moved country 6 times in the past 2 years for work and family as my wife is Irish and I'm American. (S. Korea-Thailand-UK-Ireland-Switzerland-USA)

Cheers,

Alex

Just wondering how you went here? I am having similar issues and all my test results for my heart have come back fine but I still feel there is something wrong. It's causing me to have moments of total panic...
