Today i found a bump on my outer thigh. Its swollen, and red, but i dont know what caused it. Could it be a spider bite? It dosn't itch, and it dosnt have any puss or a white tip. It has the shape of a mosquito bite sized pimple, but without the white tip and without the itchiness. It hurts with the slightest touch, and it hurts without a touch. Its like i can feel it pulsing just sitting down. Can you please give me some advice as to what it may be?

Hello and thank you for posting your medical question on E health forum.

It is difficult to diagnose a insect bite, without a physical examination.

By the description provided it seems that the area has secondary bacterial infection with development of cellulitis.

Proper treatment with antibiotics and proper dressing of the wound and if needed I & D of any abscess present might be needed.

You might consult a doctor at the earliest for proper treatment.

I hope this helps.
