I have a headache and have problems with my kidneys due to diabetes, what can i take for my headache that will be safe for my kidneys?

My doctors have told me that certain pain relievers can actually harm the kidneys. If this is a one-time thing and you don't do it regularly it is ok. But if you have some injury that causes you to need to keep taking them regularly, over a number of years they can destroy a kidney.

I have a friend who needed a transplant because he took pain killers for the pain caused by a previous knee injury.

Talk to your doctor, he will be able to tell you how and which ones to use.
