pain 5 min. after eating lasts up to 5 hours, diarrhea

User Profile
I have strong pain in my abdomen about 5 minuets after eating and lasts up to 5 hours later, this results in going to the restroom every 20 minuets to pass diarrhea, I have had this for about 28 hours but it seems the fecal matter percentage is getting less and less to where now I'm just passing water, the pain is still there however and I have tried increasing protein as I have been negligent in consumption of that nutrient and the symptoms have not subsided. Never experienced symptoms like this before and have only had this for 28 hours. I have an absurd metabolism. What is going on!?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The symptoms that you describe could indicate increased gastric motility that may be caused due to intake of certain food product, or onset of gastroenteritis. If the symptoms have been worsening, you should consider visiting your doctor/healthcare provider at the earliest for thorough evaluation, clarification and get started on treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and evaluation results) to help you control the symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/healthcare provider and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
