involved in domestic abuse. the husband had his elbow in my left ear and had all his body weight (215 lbs, 5' 11") on my left side of my jaw/ear when he pushed my face in out of anger. There's no signs of visible swelling, bruising, or discoloration. But, there's pain when I open my mouth wide or when I talk or eat, especially when biting down on harder food items. Should I just wait a day or two to see if the pain goes away or should I see a doctor or specialist? What should I do in the meantime about the pain, if anything. thanks!

Hi g35mama and welcome to ehealth: If the pain continues then see a physician...If the domestic violence continues, then get some serious help...This happening is where your real problem is....Good luck....
