Pain between shoulder blades

User Profile
I started having mild pain in between my shoulder blades, more to the left, approximately a year ago. It has since then gotten much worse. There are times when I have pain running down the right and left sides of my neck, into the the left shoulder blade. It has become so bad that I can no longer swim (avid swimmer), run, etc. The newest symptom is stabbing pain approx. 2 inches below my shoulder blade, into my ribs.

Lying down does not help, floating in the pool no longer helps, stretching doesnt help either... I could go on and on. I have even tried yoga and pilates. No luck.

The rest of my treatments are in the medical data section.

Your question involves the pain you experience between your shoulder blades.

You may benefit greatly from some specific medical-type massage therapies. Neuromuscular therapy and/or Active Release Techniques are good choices.
