Pablum ! when to give it? Are oats the same?

User Profile
I'm a first time mom, so please don't find this stupid or an over-asked question; My 3 month old is feeding on bottles every 1.5-2 hours, every day. I'm starting to run out of Formula, pretty quickly. What age did you Moms start adding Pablum into your LO's bottles. On another note, is Oat Cereal (Beginners, Gerber) The same thing as pablum ?

For starters, a baby at 6 months should be getting a very small amount of solids and drinking formula/breast-milk on demand. Try increasing the amount of that first and giving the solid foods after a bottle or nursing.

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern.Adding pablum or oats or any other blended cereal should be withheld till baby grows above age of 4 months. Ideally supplements should be started in diet from 4 months onwards. One supplement at a time for a week and then. Adding another so that baby develops taste for each one.

Take care
