out balanced hormones or rapid weight loss caising hair fall

User Profile
Hi, i need help. I have seen 2 Dermatologist, 1 medical doctor and a Gynogologist. This year alone ive had 4 yeast infections, HPV genital warts. I Took borth control pills for a yr and i stoped taking them for the past 4 months.I'm currently under treatment using aldera for the past 12 weeks Ive also been dieting, going on for 2 months and have lost 20lbs. I'm concerned, Im now loosing a lot of hair, enough to make me not want to touch it anymore. I don''t know if all these things have a connection or not, I've been told "it maybe due to my out balanced hormones" others say its the rapid weight loss that's triggering my hair loss. I'm taking a multivitamin drinking lots of water and eating healthier. What can be the problem?

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Extreme changes in diet, exercise levels and hormonal levels can affect your periods and other body functions. Even if you are on diet control, consider taking balanced diet. Start with Biotin supplements and foods rich in folate and iron to minimize your hair loss. If infective cause had been detected, and if you are sexually active, you should have considered getting your partner also treated simultaneously to prevent chances of re-infection, and should have avoided having intercourse while being on treatment. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest.
Take care.
