Osteomyelitis. possible Brodie's Abscess.

I went to the Doctor about my knee locking and hip pains.

The doctor sent me for an X-Ray and the report came back as a possible Brodie's Abscess.

The doctor has wrote to the hospital for an urgent referral and I've got to go tomorrow to see the consultant. In all it took 21 days since the referral.

When do doctors give urgently refer?

Please help, thanks. I'm from the UK.

I'd just like to add that I haven't had any bone breaks within the past 3 years.
