Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Many fertility clinics that support option of surrogacy are equipped with all facilities and legal advisors. Get in touch with a few of the clinics and take an overview about all the risks and benefits associated with the process. Take further steps based on the information collected. Make sure that the surrogacy contract is legal, recognized and valid. The surrogate mother should also be screened for HIV, and other STDS along with thalessemia and Rh compatibility screening before going ahead with the process. You can consider getting in touch with ‘Surrogacy India’ for further clarifications and assistance. All the best.
Take care.

Hi! In most medical centers, you can be approved for surrogacy program only if they are absolutely confident that the very first attempt will be successful. So you may like to have a closer look at all surrogcy friendly countries and the offers of their clinics. For ex, according to the Ukrainian legislation, intended parents are legal parents of the baby born by a surrogate. Names of intended parents are written in the baby's birth certificate. Surrogate mother has no right to keep the baby after delivery according to the contract. Nowadays surrogates rarely carry babies who are genetically related to them, instead using embryos created in vitro with eggs and sperm from the commissioning parents, or from donors. The prices also vary from clinic to clinic. In ours it's from 29900 to 49900. Good luck with your further investigation.

Is surrogacy a real thing or it is just a fiction?

YES, it is!
Oursurrogacyblog is absolutely awesome for the details #
Initial consultation. It usually contains the following activities: A set of tests depending on the program (fasting is mandatory). Consultation with a fertility specialist who will be in charge of your program (in case of stimulation you will need to have the transvaginal ultrasound check done). Consultation with a manager who will guide you through the program step by step. Signing of contracts. Before any initial consultation you will receive the Guidelines for the Initial Consultation - failure to follow these recommendations may affect the initial consultation in a negative way. Search; confirmation of a surrogate mother, matching process. Waiting time depends on the type of contact. Stimulation; synchronisation stage (about 2 weeks). The cycle of egg donor or the biological mother is synchronised with the cycle of a surrogate mother. According to your contract you have to follow all doctors instruction. In case of self-treatment or violation of the treatment protocol, the clinic may cancel the cycle and terminate the contract. Fertilization day, embryo transfer - the 2nd visit. In case the biological mother undergoes hormonal stimulation and is being prepared for egg retrieval, the second visit may take up to 10 days. If we are talking about surrogacy using own eggs it is not recommended to leave the same day. Flying the following day is fine. The rules for sperm donation are similar as for the initial consultation - a man needs to abstain from ejaculation from 3 to 5 days before. After fertilisation the embryo development is monitored by embryology unit. The embryo transfer takes place on the 5th day. You will receive the protocol of embryo cultivation and transfer within 3 working days after the embryo transfer. HCG test, pregnancy confirmation. The first ultrasound scan is carried out in 2 weeks after the positive HCG test by the doctor in charge of the program. The report will be send the same or the next day after the check.
Pregnancy monitoring. Delivery. Obtaining of the birth certificate.

Just in case anyone is curious.
It was one of 2 choices left for us. Adoption or surrogacy. We went for the later one.

How's your treatment plan going?
Banned in many parts of the world, commercial surrogacy is available in only few countries. also roughly in 14 states in the US. But the cost is more than most parents can afford. The fact that surrogacy often takes several attempts is a financial consideration. Whether using a US clinic or one abroad, most couples choosing surrogacy as their choice for procreation can see multiple rounds of IVF fail before a surrogate successfully becoming pregnant. Gestational surrogacy makes it possible to harvest eggs from the mother, fertilize them with sperm from the father, and place the embryo into the uterus of a gestational surrogate. The surrogate then carries the baby until birth. She has no genetic ties to the child. That's because it wasn't her egg that was used. A gestational surrogate is called the "birth mother." The biological mother, though, is still the woman whose egg was fertilized.
Now the number of those desiring to recourse to the surrogate motherhood is growing. Married couples who can not have children on their own, go in search of surrogate mothers in other countries, where their interests are protected by law. For many families this way is the only chance to have their own child..
