on Triadene for 2 months feeling very low, crying easily...

User Profile
I have been on Triadene for 2 months after a 12 month break from taking the microgynon. I am currently in my pill free week on the second cycle. I have been feeling very low early in the morning, crying easily throughout the day and had a dull headache for the last 3 days. I have not experienced these symptons before - is this the pill or something else? Should I give it another month and see how I respond to the pill then or visit my docotor to try something different. I am feeling so low at times that it is causing issues with my relationship.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you had been sexually active without protection within first 2-3 weeks of getting re-started on birth control pills, chances of pregnancy are possible (as suggested by your recent symptoms). The symptoms can also be attributed to hormonal content of the pills and its side effects. The mild side effects usually subside after 2-3 months of regular use. If you suspect chances of pregnancy, stop the pill use, and consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately). If pregnancy gets ruled out, further evaluation would be done to look for the underlying cause for your symptoms. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the symptoms. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
Take care.
