on birth control...but getting penicillin shots once a month

User Profile
Hi...well May 19-21 I was having unprotected sex. Then after the last time I took a plan B pill. I really didn't feel sick at all until later on the 22nd. I was nauseated and extremely dizzy and felt like I could sleep for days. Now that it is the 26th I still feel like this and I have not had any bleeding at all. I have also noticed that I feel wet in my vagina area all the time. I also take birth control...but due to a huge strep infection I have been getting penicillin shots once a month and I am on my 5th month of it. Can you tell me what might be going on?

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Plan B is a high dose hormonal pill and is associated with side effects as withdrawl bleeding, irregular period, nausea, vomitting, fatigue, headache etc. These effects may be present in some woman and vary in everyone.

It seems you are also experiencing these effects due to pill intake itself. They might subside in a week time. The next period may be delayed by few days so relax and avoid unprotected intercourse and drug use.Have healthy balanced diet and take adequate rest.

Take care!
