you should always shower every day, maybe every night is good because at the end of the day your body is covered in bacterias and dirt even if you are not aware of that. If your skin starts getting dry then use a fragrance free oil free moisturizer. Not showering and having oily skin will lead to issues such as body acne and thats no fun at all.

Yes, I have oily skin too. I started noticeing it like 12 years ago when i was much younger, after awhile i thought back i used to do a lot of sit ups becuase i wanted to stay in shape, from then on, i noticed my skin producing too much oily, it was the major change in my life at that time. Not only that, my stomach a few years ago i actually paid attention to and i noticed it was sore on the inside, and it still feels sore now. I have had all kinds of checkups such as gastroscopy etc. My stomach still is sore when i press into it, more so above the tummy, i think my stomach is not working all that well or one of my other body parts and therefore i think this is what is causing the oily skin, my body is not operating the way it should be.

I went on a lemon detox, with half a squeeze of lemon in the morning every day for a month, the first week it reducd my oily skin, i only had showered like once a day for that whole week ( i know what your thinking now, i shower quite often to get rid of the oil on my skin, you can't imagine how many times i shower and when, also that it is unbearable wen i have oily skin around my upper chest to my head). SO i did that for a week, it reduced the oil and then after that my skin went back to normal/being oily.

I also know that if i have had good sleep, my body is less tired and i don't get too much oily skin, but the next or every morning i should day my skin from chest upwrads im covered in a light film of oil, it just feels horrible.

Anyway, if this helps anyone, ill be happy, but please comment back, even a specialist, as i have seen a few doctors and they haven't said much. I have also seen a dermatologist, i went on roaccutane a while back when i was in school for pimples though the oil remained/still was around.

Thanks anyway, hope to hear a response from anyone.
