odds of conceiving twins again?

What are the chances or odds of conceiving twins again if you had already had fraternal twins? I had fraternal twins natural almost 9 months ago and my husband and I were talking about trying for another but I am scared it will be twins or even triplets!!! Thank you in advance!!

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If you had conceived after fertility treatment with ovulation inducers, chances of having twins or multiple birth increase (if there is no history of twins in the family). If after fertilization, there is spit in the zygote formed then chances of having identical twins (separation at two cell stage), or quadruplets (separation at 4 cell stage) can occur as each cell has potential to grow as a baby. The chances of having repeat multiple or twin pregnancy cannot be predicted unless there has been history of twins in family. For further clarification and assistance, visit your doctor/gynecologist.
Take care.
