My foot was ran over by a car some months ago, and my big toe has been numb since then. Sometimes it causes me to trip when i'm walking without shoes on. What do you suppose I do about it?

Thank you for asking at ehealthforum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. With RTA that severe, crush injury might have compromised sensations and nerves involved. Now what can be done or whether it is reversible or not is dependant on whether the injury is reversible or not. You need to see a neurologist and let them have the nervous assessment. And see what options come out to restore the functions.

I hope it helps. Please take good car of yourself and do as directed.I would advise to stay in touch with your health care provider as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and can not be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor where a complete evaluation occurs. I will be here if you need me or have any more questions to ask, i would love to answer.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

Take care
