Muscular and Nerve Disorders Answer A4637
It is very hard to diagnose your problem without certain medical investigations. Numbness can be due to any kind of neuropathy. Compression on the spinal nerve roots, made by the spondylotic changes of the spine, is a common condition. Spondylosis is a degenerative disorder of the spinal joints. X-rays and an MRI image of the spine can be very useful if the reason is compressive neuropathy. Other common causes for neuropathy could be diabetes, alcohol abuse, vitamin deficiency, poisoning, etc. An ENG can be requested to examine if there is disturbance in the nerve conduction.

You could consult a neurologist about your problem.
