numb wrinkled skin after hip surgery

I had an anterior hip replacement six months ago. To the rear of and abutting the scar is a patch of skin about 1 inch wide and 4 inches long that is wrinkled and numb. It does not hurt. Dermatologist skin scrapings are fungal negative. What is this, and will it go away by itself with time?

Update: My dermatologist prescribed a fluociconide cream that, applied twice daily for a month, has cured this condition, although the numbness persists. I think that was not related to the skin condition and is probably the result of skin nerves severed during the surgery 7 months ago. The area now seems to be slowly regaining normal sensitivity.
