Hi, I had a 25 pound steel bar fell on my head at work, did not get dizzy or unconcious nor any cuts or lacerations on my head but a nice gash on my forehead, after treating my cut, went back to work. It has been 3 weeks and my scalp on the left side is still numb. Sometimes I feel my head is itching but can not figure it or pinpoint due to being numb. Can anyone have any ideas. Thanks

If you do not have any other symptoms other than the numbness, then it is less likely that you may have anything to worry about.

But if you have swelling, pain at the area (either continuous or on pressure), then it may indicate possible deeper injury and it would be best to consult your doctor for a examination and proper opinion.

I hope this helps.
