not sure whether to take another test or not?

User Profile
Me and my long term bf have recently split (in Feb) but we have had unprotected sex since we split on several occassions. The last time was the day before my period was due.
Im on day 8 of missed period and ive been searching for answers on here every day. im usually pretty regular even to the point of the time of day AF with arrive.

My last period was on the 12/3 and was lighter than normal ans lasted longer. On the 17/3 i had terrible cramps in my stomach and i collapsed (not sure if this is related).
I took a hpt on the day 6 of missed period and it was negative. Although i had drank alot of water that day and the instructions did mention this might affect the test. Im not sure whether to take another test or not. one forum mention waiting 3 weeks till after unprotected sex.

other pregancy symptoms include cramping in the stomach, metalic taste in my mouth, and tiredness.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
Your symptoms could be suggestive of pregnancy. The shorter and lighter periods could suggest that you were pregnant before your last periods. You can consider repeating the pregnancy test again. Do not drink lot of fluids the night before testing and always use the early morning first sample of urine to test for pregnancy. Look out for development of any other new symptoms suggestive of pregnancy. If you suspect to be pregnant, consider visiting your gynecologist/obstetrician for examination to confirm signs of pregnancy changes in body and a blood/serum HCG level test to confirm/rule out pregnancy.
Take care.
