Not Late Yet, but Worried

I've been going out with a really great guy for about 3 weeks now and last Monday we had a condom break. I wasn't on birth control at the time because we started dating at a point in my cycle where I couldn't start BC yet. I took Next Choice (the generic 2-pill Plan B) and have been having some side effects, some of them being increased nausea and appetite. I've read that these are normal symptoms of taking that, however, I realized that I had been feeling nauseated and fatigued before I took the morning after pill. My period isn't late (it's due tomorrow), but I'm still worried despite trying not to be.

If my period is late then I will take a test, but I'm wondering: What is the most accurate test to take if I take very close to the expected date of my period?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Plan B is quite effective in pregnancy prevention if taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.Nausea, breakthrough bleeding, spotting are some of the common side effects with its use.But if you had unprotected intercourse before this episode then chances of getting pregnant are possible.
Wait for the periods to start. If it does not even after a week then get a Blood HCG test done as it is a confirmatory test and shows up after a week of expected date of the missed period.Consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!

Over the past few days I've also been experiencing frequent urination and my sense of smell has been stronger than usual. I took a test and it was negative and I spotted a little last night and started bleeding today, but I'm just not 100% convinced that I'm not pregnant. If I am, I know it didn't happen during the condom-breaking incident because I took Next Choice as planned, but I was most likely ovulating the week before and I had sex more than once that week so there's definitely a chance that I could be pregnant.

If I don't start feeling normal in the next week or so, I'm going to take another test just to make sure :-\

You can't be pregnant, that's for sure, you just have that feeling. Relax, and if you want do the test again. It will assure you.
