Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

I pill is an emergency contraceptive pill and is quite effective in pregnancy prevention if taken within 72 hours of sexual contact and earlier the better. As you had taken the pill immediately chances of pregnancy seem to be remote.

I pill being a hormonal preparation contains high doses of hormones which causes some side effects as withdrawl bleeding, nausea, headache, delayed next periods, change in the period flow and pattern for few cycles etc.

It seems you are also experiencing these effects due to the pill use. They may be present for few cycles.Avoid taking i pill regularly and instead use some regular form of contraceptive. If you notice any unusual symptom as prolonged bleeding, only spotting, cramps, discharge etc then consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take care!
