normal if the period come while taking duphaston?

Dear Doctor,
I having issue on irregular period.If the period come, it will take time to stop. Sometimes, it will take over 1 month to stop. I am still single. Last check up, doctor prescribed me to take duphaston..after taking the medicine the period was stopped but it start to come after 10 days like spotting. Is it normal if the period come while taking duphaston or I have any serious problems. Pls advice me. I'm really scared

It is difficult to comment on the exact cause for the prolonged periods and irregular periods without examining you and going ahead with further evaluation. Duphaston is prescribed at times to help women regulate their periods. If worried, visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation, clarification and assistance, or consider taking second opinion from another gynecologist. Look out for development of any new symptoms. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
