No Penetration, No Ejaculation, but Missed Period???

User Profile
I don't know what to do Sad
My last period was Jan 14. I usually have regular cycles, between 28-29 days. According to multiple ovulation calendars, I ovulated between Jan 25-Jan 29. Four days later, On Saturday Feb 1, My boyfriend I had dry sex. I was on top of him, not wearing any pants or underwear, but he was wearing sweats. However, at one point, he took out his penis to rub his shaft between my legs. I let him for a couple seconds, and stopped because I knew this could be potentially dangerous. Instead, he just had me lay on the floor, and he laid beside me to finger me. He did ejaculate, but like I said, he was wearing pants and it did not get on me.

However, my concern was the precum. I have no idea if it accidentally got on me or inside me (when he fingered me) so I took Next Choice One Dose 58 hours later. I thought I was fine because we did not have intercourse, he did not ejaculate me, and plus, this happened at least four days after I ovulated. But, it's been three days past my expected period due date, and there is NOTHING. NO blood, no cramps, NOTHING.

I have been stressing for almost a week and a half. It's been awful. I'm thinking the stress and EC really messed up my cycle, but could it seriously just make me miss my period altogether. Also, I came down with a cold the day of my expected period, so I don't know if that has to do with anything. I cannot afford a pregnancy right now, I am in college and if I did have a baby, I would have to choose adoption. I don't want to do that, I want my first baby to be MY baby, after I'm married.

I don't have pregnancy symptoms, and this all happened 13 days ago. Though, five days after I took my EC, I've been having a bit of watery discharge now and then. It's clear and dries up white on my panties. It's like I've never even ovulated or something. I don't know what to do, I'm so scared. Please help, am I pregnant? Should I take a test???

Hello,

A period happens as a consequence of ovulation and few women know or care when their ovulation happens as it often has no symptoms to signal that it has occurred. Until you ovulate you aren't fertile but after ovulation you are fertile until the end of the subsequent period. This is fairly straightforward but what complicates it is your body can store live sperm for some days and your ovulation can vary, sometimes considerably, as it responds to chemical messages which in turn can be affected by stress, general health, unaccustomed sexual activity and so forth.

Pregnancy too has no specific symptoms attached to it and some women don't even develop a bump so the first symptom they experience is labour pains.

There is always a risk of pregnancy with sexual contact however small. In the circumstances you describe it would be very unlikely precum would be any danger to you.
In the most unlikely event you did conceive on that occasion the emergency contraception should have caused an abortion.
EC is powerful medication and it can disrupt the menses and sometimes disrupt them a lot!

Certainly take a test though early tests can be indeterminate though it would be actively doing something and could lower your stress level but don't forget to take another test a few days before your next expected period to make sure.

It is very unlikely you are pregnant so relax...

Good luck!

Hi, I think I am actually starting my period. I am four days late to what my said period was to be expected, but I am getting lower back cramps and thick (but not heavy) brown discharge. It seems like it will be coming with a regular flow, but just late.

However, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Could it be implantation bleeding? Technically, if I did conceive the 1st of Feb, I should've had this a week and a half ago.

I don't know if it is likely to be implantation bleeding or not. My wife didn't seem to experience any such thing but I have heard it is a lighter red colour.

I think you will soon be having that big sigh of relief.

Good luck!

Thank you so much, even if it's just a weird period, I'm pretty certain by now the EC is just causing my body to do weird things. Pretty certain it's not implantation bleeding.

Thank you again!
