New to Birth Control - I started Amtheyst

I started Amtheyst on May 18th, at the end of my period. The first 3 weeks were great. I started my period on June 8th and its still going. Heavy flow with clots some times. It's lighter than my last period, but it's not light. Amethyst is a continuous birth control (generic for Lybrel) so all pills are active pills. I'm a few days past 5 weeks on them. Is this normal? Is it just my body adjusting to the pills? No cramps (maybe a few here and there but nothing severe). Just constant bleeding. I'm considering changing pills, but I'm wondering if maybe I haven't given this one enough time? Any advice? I'm 33, no kids, never been on birth control before. Was put on it to regulate (stop hopefully) heavy periods.

Extremely eHealthy
Most doctors wont change birth control pills until you've tried them for 6 months because it takes time for your body to adjust to the hormones in the pill.
