Hi! I started birth control on the depo shot about a month and a half ago. I intend to have sex without condoms and I need some advice/information. I've had cramps that are rather painful for two weeks, but they only last about 5 seconds at a time, and they've come with what appears to be spotting, but it might have been a light period, I'm not sure. I'm incredibly nervous about if it's my period or not, or if I can get pregnant. As long as you are not obese, the chances of getting pregnant while you are on the shot is as close to zero as you can get, without using condoms as well.

Your safest sex will include both hormonal (the shot) methods and a barrier (condom) method.. These are 100% effective.

What would count me obese? I'm about 220 and only 5'3
