Hello I was wondering does it matter if I start a new pack the next day after the sugar pill or after my period ends...? Im on day 3 of sugar pills and feeling a bit weird. Been sleeping a lot and urinating more and my breast hurt so bad. I started having mild cramping today. Could I be pregnant by not starting a new pack right away and waiting til my period was over to start?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
The right thing is to start the new pack just after the sugar pill. But if you try to start it after the initiation of your cycle, there is no problem regarding contraceptive efficacy. However,by this delaying I do not think you can lessen the symptoms.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counseling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
