negative test, and She has no symptoms till now .

User Profile
My gf had periods on 12th of May which lasted only for 2days due to her abortion in April. I had sex with her on 1st June. I did not ejaculate inside of her. Still, i gave her an ECP within 24hours, and she had her period on 12th June which also lasted for 2days. They were so heavy that she had to use 2 whole Ultra size pads on the 1st day and 1whole pad on the 2nd day. The blood was red and no clots. Is there any chance that it was implantation bleeding? She says it was just like her regular period.. and that they occured heavier than her previous periods. Her preg test taken on 7th June came negative. She has no symptoms till now either. But im just worried.. Please reply asap.

Am I Pregnant Answer A36806

Welcome to ehealthforum and thanks for writing

Emergency contraceptive pills are quite effective in pregnancy prevention if taken within 72 hours of intercourse. As you did not ejaculate also so possibility of pregnancy does not arise. But it was not a good idea to have the pill as she recently had abortion which causes trauma to the uterus and also leads to hormonal fluctuation in the body and again within a span of two months taking the pill which contains high doses of hormones.Kindly consider using protection during intercourse or ask your partner to use some form of contraceptive.

It may take few cycles for the menstrual cycle to regularise and have normal hormonal levels. If she has any unusual symptom consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take care!
