need some reasurance on the contraceptive implant

Hello, I'm sorry to be a bother, I'm 20 and I got the contraceptive implant in September, I've had my period pretty much constantly since then. I'm taking mebeverin tablets for IBS but as far as I know they don't effect the implant. A few days ago my boyfriend came inside me for the first time, I was on my period but it stopped afterwards and started up the next day. I'm basically panicking that I'm pregnant, which I know is ridiculous but I guess I just need some reasurance. I'm still on my period now so was wondering if that meant that I'm definitely not pregnant? Sorry for the rambles I'm such a worrier! Thanks for your help!

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Abnormal vaginal bleeding can also present itself as a sign/ symptom of pregnancy. Your chances of pregnancy are very low as you are using contraception. Get a pregnancy test done if you want to be sure.

wishing you best of health

thanks
