nausea, high sensitivity to smells and a horrid taste?

User Profile
Since my miscarriage in Feb 2011 before every period I experience severe nausea, high sensitivity to smells and a horrid taste in my mouth I automatically think pregnant as we are desperate to conceive but then the cramps start and I know it\'s my period. I have been suffering with endometriosis since about the age of 18 and had three operations now to remove areas of it. My consultant sees the only way forward it to either have a baby or a full pelvic clearance. Do you know what could have caused this change and what the cause could be?

Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

One possibility of the pregnancy like symptoms is a craving for motherhood again. Another reason is hormonal imbalance. Liver (hepatitis), gall bladder and kidney problems too can cause these symptoms. IBS, acidity and GERD too should be ruled out. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your gynecologist regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
