My tummy is growing and I've gained weight

I am a fairly healthy woman in my late twenties & I was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Cysts) and my gynecologist prescribed fertomid50mg of which I started using in April when I started my period on the 2nd, I took the meds for 5 days and my period is 7 days long. In May my period came on the 3rd which was great as previously my cycle was 40+ days long this time around it was 31 days for the first time in years. The 3rd of May 2011 was the last time I saw my period. I didn't take the fertomid in May though as I was still recovering from gastroenteritis, I was hospitalized it was really bad, the surgeon prescribed antibiotics. I've had all the pregnancy symptoms in the book and I've had 3 negative HPT (Home Pregnancy Test), the last one I took was yesterday in the evening. My tummy is growing and I've gained weight, could I be pregnant?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

It is usually difficult to conceive with PCOD and woman do exhibit problems as irregular periods and ovulation. The medication given to you was a good drug for the disease and you need to continue it on your Doctor's advice.
Weight gain is also a feature of PCOD due to hormonal changes.Kindly consider visiting your Gynaecologist for evaluation.
