Hi there, I’m a 16 year old boy who’s having problems with his height, I’m 5 feet and 8 inches (173-4 cm) and I’m honestly scared about my height, I haven’t had any growth spurts lately, and I don’t really feel like I’ve had much growth since last year, my father is 5’11 (181 cm) and my mother is 5’3 (161 cm)
I’m shorter than most of my classmates, I’m taller than some of the girls but some other girls are either my height or even taller than me, most of the boys are taller than me and it’s honestly bringing me down, I really wanna grow taller, I’m 233 pounds (106 kgs) but the thing is, I’ve been losing weight quite well in the recent months so I don’t think that’s a problem since I used to be 117 kgs (257 lbs) just 8 months ago. Please help me, I feel left out, I wanna impress a beautiful girl and look as tall and cool as my friends are, please help me, I’m very concerned about my height right now

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Your height is normal for your age. You still have 3-4 years more to grow taller.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
