my doctor stripped my membrane today but...

i am 39 weeks and 2cm dialated and my doctor stripped my membrane today but i have no bleeding or pain do that mean it didn't work

Hello,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and i am glad to help you out. Since you had stripping of membranes recently, sometimes it may take 12-14 hours for labor to begin. I suggest you to wait and if still you don't have increased pain or contractions then you may need induction of labor.
