Welcome to ehealthforum,
Even if cervix is closed, the opening will be wide enough for blood and occasionally it will open to allow passage of the clots/tissues. If you have been sexually active and not on any form of birth control, chances of repeat pregnancy and possibility of early pregnancy loss cannot be completely ruled out. Consider getting a serum/blood HCG level test done to confirm/rule out pregnancy chances and also get an ultrasound scan done to see if uterus is empty. Further treatment options (especially if bleeding does not stop) will be started based on examination and investigation reports. Be in regular follow-up with your gynecologist/obstetrician.
Take care.
