I have muscle pain in my back, arms and upper legs. It is getting worse every day. I have seen a Dr, but he thinks It is golfer's elbow. Wearing an arm band, but 3 days ago the leg muscles started to ache. When I wake up in the morning it feels like I ran a marathon. Any idea what might be happening to me?

If it seems like you are having widespread muscle pain, then is it not due to overuse syndromes or trauma. It is due to a systemic disorder. Unfortunately, muscle pain can be a symptom of many different disorders, from a viral myopathy to fibromyalgia.

If the symptoms do not go away shortly, or they get worse, you should see your physician for another evaluation. You may have to see a specialist to get a correct diagnosis, and it may take some searching for the cause. Again, muscle pain can be from many different etiologies.

Good luck.
