Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Emergency contraceptives usually work if taken within 48-72 hours of the unprotected intercourse. Urine pregnancy tests can show you false negative results at times. If you are having symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy, or suspect to be pregnant (as result of contraceptive failure), then consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for a thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately).
Take care.
