10 months postpartum and noticed a pinkish red color

User Profile
I'm 10 months postpartum and havent received a period yet. Today I noticed I had discharge on my underwear with a tint of pinkish red. When I wiped I noticed a pinkish red color on the toilet paper and when I was going to flush I noticed what looked like a pinkish red blob of discharge, what could this mean?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Your periods may not start due to lactation amenorrhea (if you have been exclusively breastfeeding your baby), as it suppresses ovulation. If you had not been breastfeeding, or if your ovulation /fertility has returned, and if you had been sexually active without protection, the spotting could also indicate probable implantation bleeding. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation to look for the exact cause, and get started on treatment as appropriate (based on evaluation results) to help you control the spotting and regulate your periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
