2 months later I feel like I am pregnant again.

I had a baby 3 months ago and at 5 weeks post baby i was feeling amazing! Now 2 months later I feel like I am pregnant again. I have had a period but still feel unwell. I have bloating, heartburn, am more tired than usual , tingling breasts, and pain in my ovaries and terrible low back pain. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative 5 days after my period ended. We did have an accident during ovulation so I am worried that I am pregnant. If not can this be hormones flaring up 3 months post post-partum and is there anything I can do about it?

Am I Pregnant Answer A30383
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

You symptoms of bloating, heartburn, am more tired than usual, tingling breasts, and pain in my ovaries and terrible low back pain can be due to hormonal imbalance, ectopic or normal pregnancy (if you had lighter than normal periods), severe acidity with IBS, Crohn's etc, or due to polycystic ovary. Take blood test for HCG estimation and if positive or borderline repeat after 48 hours. Rising levels indicate pregnancy.

Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please consult your gynecologist regarding this. Hope this helps. Take care!
