I have a mole near or almost in the urethra of my penis. I have had this since I was a teenager. I am now 32yrs old. I have only recently become aware of melanomas and I've read the ABCDE's of it. I have found however that this mole of mine is both asymmetrical and does not have any defined border. It doesn't seem to be growing though. I've had this for around 15yrs I think. Should I be concerned?

Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description the mole is likely to be benign. Asymmetry alone does not indicate Melanoma. If there hasnt been any growth in the past 15 years then it is unlikely to progress further. if you are worried then you can get it examined and the area can be observed with time accordingly to determine if there is any need of further workup.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
