Missed pill, had unproptected sex now having brown discharge.

The last day of my period was June 28th or the 29th somewhere around there. I forgot to take my birth control pill on July 7th and had unprotected sex on July 8th, I did take my pill on the day of unprotected sex but I didn't realize I missed the 8th so I didn't take two pills like I should have. I also had taken 2 pain killers for my back the night of unprotected sex, I'm not sure if this effects birth control or not. Its now the morning of the 11th and I woke up to light brown discharge, could this simply be from missing my pill or implantation bleeding like my mother suggested?

Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Implantation bleeding does not show up immediately after intercourse so it seems like the discharge was due to the missed pill. But you should have considered using a condom while having intercourse.
If the bleeding is heavy consider visiting a Gynaecologist for evaluation.

Take Care!
