Hi and welcome to the forum! I am glad that I can help you.

You would like to know why you missed your period.

AN irregular menstrual cycle may appear during strong stress which is considered to be normal. A hormonal imbalance is another cause of an irregular menstrual cycle and should be treated. Stress affects the menstrual cycle by making it suddenly shorter or longer. Usually this episode is followed by a period that comes on the regular length. In pregnancy, there are several signs that confirms it: women have a need to eat a specific kind of food; they may vomit in the first trimester; the breast becomes a little bigger, but no soreness; the areola are becoming black; on regular vaginal exam, the uterus is softened and increased unequally. Pregnancy is detected by pregnancy tests based on measuring of the hormonal levels. Sometimes this test may not show the pregnancy due to the low and undetectable hormone levels. In those cases the pregnancy is confirmed with an ultrasound examination.

According to the data that you described, you may be experiencing pregnancy. You may consider seeing a gynecologist for a regular exam, pregnancy blood tests and an ultrasound exam to rule out or to confirm pregnancy.
