Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is very rare to have false positive results with the urine pregnancy tests. The treatment with Metformin & Clomid for PCOS & pregnancy works for most of the women as PCOS responds to insulin modifiers and ovulation inducers help with ovulation to increase your chances of pregnancy (if PCOS has responded well to treatment with insulin modifiers). The appearance of the symptoms suggestive of pregnancy depends on how your body reacts to the changing hormonal status. Few women can experience symptoms as early as 24 hours after fruitful intercourse. Few women can experience few symptoms after having missed periods. Few women do not experience any symptoms throughout pregnancy. If you suspect chances of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately).
You should also consider requesting your doctor/gynecologist for getting serial HCG levels tested. Doubling up of the hormone levels in 48-72 hours will show that pregnancy is going on smoothly. If levels are not adequate (and if bleeding/brown discharge is under control), then external hormonal supplements should be considered to be started to help you in preventing miscarriage/threatened abortion. An ultrasound scan done would also help in confirming fetal wellbeing and gestational age. Avoid any heavy work. Avoid lifting heavy objects or climbing stairs or standing for long periods of time. Look out for early danger signs like bleeding/spotting, increasing intensity of abdominal cramps and back pain etc. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any unusual/new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet. All the best.
Take care.
