recently i woke to find i was bleeding really heavy, i hadn't had a period for a while before, but this was different. I was screaming in pain. My insides felt like they were being ripped out. My back felt like it had been kicked with force, i was in agony. My shoulders hurt and it was nothing like i had ever felt before. I went to the toilet and again there was loads of blood. I wiped and on the tissue was what looked like skin, but it was a sort of brown colour. There was a black thing which through my tears looked like a ball also on the tissue. I spoke to family and they said they think it might have been a miscarriage, can anyone help?

Sometimes our uterus lining does not fully dissolve during menstruation. It comes out as this fleshy 'skin'. Because it does not dissolve, the anti-clotting agents inside it does not stop the blood from clotting like it normally does.

These type of periods are normally very very painful.

Were you expecting to be pregnant this cycle?
