Miscarriage in June , negative test

User Profile
I had a miscarriage in June, I have always been irregular but since then it has been hard to detect when my period starts. My last cycle started on August 23rd, we tried to conceive 13-15 days after and had light brown bleeding 6 days after that, I have not gotten my period yet and I am hopeful that I am pregnant, I took a test this morning (September 20th) and it was negative, did I take it too early? Is there hope that I might still be pregnant, I have been feeling nausea in waves, but it could be nerves...

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
After miscarriage, uterus takes about 3-6 months time to heal completely to be ready for next implantation and support the growth of baby. If you are having symptoms of pregnancy, then be in precaution, take adequate rest, have a good diet and consider getting a blood HCG level test done by your gynecologist to confirm the pregnancy (it can detect pregnancy accurately than the urine pregnancy tests as early as 11 days post conception). Get serial HCG levels done to see if any deficiency is present such that external HCG can be supplemented at the correct time to prevent miscarriage.
Take care.
