User Profile
i think im somewhere between 1 and 3 weeks late.... i never keep track of my periods because usually i ''just know'' when im about to have it.
a little over a week ago i had the usual feeling that i was going to come on but im still waiting.
ive had very mild cramps, milky white discharge, headaches, the general feeling of being on my period; but with no blood....
me and my boyfriend are stupid and never use protection, we use the ''pull out'' method..... so im really not sure whats going on...
please help

Am I Pregnant Answer A12808
Hi,

Welcome to ehealth forum and i am glad to help you out. Firstly, I’ll suggest you to do the urine for pregnancy test.In case, the urine test is negative, then a serum pregnancy test should be done. If the serum test is also negative, then the possibility of pregnancy is quite less. If pregnancy is ruled out, then other causes of delayed periods need to be looked into.

It can happen because of hormonal imbalance, increased stress, eating disorder, increased smoking, alcohol or caffeine use and medical conditions like PCOS, fibroid, polyps and endometriosis. So my suggestion would be to consult a gynecologist and get serum HCG levels done. Confirmation can be done by an ultrasound uterus. Not only it clears the status of pregnancy but also can help in diagnosing medical conditions causing delayed periods. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
