Hi,

My doctor prescribed 250mg clomid for me after 3 cycles. I started with 50mg and increased it to 150mg with no success. I was wondering if anyone ever used such a high dosage. I have pcos and my progesterone is very low, after 3 blood tests they all came back with a result of (1)

Thanks to anyone who might shed some light on this for me.

clomid 250mg
I was also on clomid for the 4 cycles. Started with 50mg for the first cycle, then 100mg for 2 cycles....still no positive sign. Now I am seeing a fertility expert who gave me 250mg of clomid. Each time I never ovulated. Doctor says if no ovulation with 250mg clomid too...then this treatment is of no use.
I am not sure if my doctor has checked weather I have PCSO or not. I did go for scanning and general regular check ups.
The previous post if of sep 2009. hope you found success with 250mg clomid. Pls comment.

I also took 'provera' 10mg for 10 days to have periods, make a new cycle an d then clomid with different dosages.
This time I took 'promatrium 400mg' to have periods and now I am on 250mg clomid. IF anyone can share similar cases or advices pls reply.

I started with clomid 50mg 2cycles then 100 mg 1cycle. Changed insurance and Switched Md. tried clomid 100 mg 3cycles. I usually have to take Prometrium 200mg to start my cycle since I don't ovulate. Switched Md again, tried 150mg clomid 3cycles. Still no luck. Switched MD last December 2011 which started me on clomid 250mg 3cycles. I ovulated with this dosage and actually jump started my menstrual cycle because viola I was getting my period monthly. It stopped again in June but with positive results. Been trying for 4 1/2 years and was told that I needed IVF. I guess clomid does works!
